Chelsea FC Launches ‘London, It’s Our House’ Campaign

The campaign was developed by London-based cultural consultancy and creative studio ICONIC, in collaboration with production company Till Dawn and Park Pictures. The iconic song Our House by legendary band Madness was chosen to highlight Chelsea’s role in London’s cultural scene, especially with Suggs being a lifelong Chelsea fan.

This project celebrates the club’s identity at a historic time, as Chelsea FC Women were recently crowned Women’s Super League champions for the sixth consecutive season. The film was shot across various iconic locations in West London.

The campaign is packed with fun, Chelsea-flavored moments — from Suggs driving a classic black London taxi to Cole Palmer ordering his beloved jam sandwich at the ‘Carefree Café.’ There, he’s handed a café loyalty card stamped with two stars, representing Chelsea’s two UEFA Champions League titles. Sam Kerr is also shown holding one of her three Women’s Super League trophies won with the club.

London, It’s Our House was directed by Jake Erland, whose work with brands like Dior and LVMH is known for its distinctive visual style. Erland captures both the legacy and the vibrant, youthful energy of London. His background in fashion and luxury brings a deliberate tonal richness to the film, portraying a cosmopolitan London through the lens of Chelsea FC.

History of Chelsea FC

Founded in 1905 by Henry Augustus Mears, Chelsea Football Club — affectionately known as “the Blues” — has grown into one of the world’s most powerful, popular, and wealthiest football clubs. Its identity has been shaped by star-studded squads and an attacking style of play that has captivated fans globally.

In its early years, the club experienced highs and lows, failing to secure major trophies until the 1950s and frequently moving between divisions. It wasn’t until the 1990s and early 2000s that Chelsea began evolving into a dominant force in English football.

A turning point came in the 2004–05 season when Chelsea won the Premier League for the first time since their 1954–55 top-flight title. They repeated the feat in 2005–06, becoming only the second club to win back-to-back titles since the Premier League was formed in 1992.

The success continued in 2009–10, when Chelsea claimed a fourth league title, setting a Premier League record by scoring 103 goals in a single season. They added more titles in 2014–15 and 2016–17, solidifying their elite status.

Internationally, Chelsea has also made its mark, winning the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1971 and 1998, and the UEFA Super Cup in 1998. Their crowning moment came in 2012 when they lifted their first UEFA Champions League trophy. The club has also won the FA Cup eight times, adding to its rich trophy cabinet.
