Attention, gamers! Krispy Kreme has just launched a new donut collection to celebrate one of the most iconic video games of all time: Pac-Man. That’s right! The cheerful yellow ball and the ghosts that chase him are arriving at the donut chain to add a fun and unique twist. Want to try them? Here’s what they’re like and when they’ll be available.
What is the new Pac-Man collection from Krispy Kreme like?
The new donuts are inspired by the classic game. The collection includes three new donuts in a nostalgic, custom Pac-Man-themed dozen box—this is Pac-Man’s sweetest level yet. Here they are:

Pac-Man Party Doughnut – an Original Glazed Doughnut piped with yellow buttercream-flavored icing, sprinkled with celebration sprinkles, and topped with a Pac-Man piece.

Team Ghost Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with chocolate-flavored Kreme, dipped in black icing, decorated with a Pac-Man maze, and topped with a Team Ghosts piece.

Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut – an unglazed shell doughnut filled with strawberry-flavored Kreme, dipped in red icing, and topped with white sprinkles and green leaf icing.

When will the Pac-Man donuts from Krispy Kreme be available?
The new collection is already available! You can get it at participating Krispy Kreme stores in the U.S. But hurry—it’s only for a limited time.
The Krispy Kreme x Pac-Man collection is available in-store and for pickup or delivery through the Krispy Kreme app and website, either individually or by the dozen. You can also enjoy the new donuts in a 6-pack, delivered fresh daily to select partner locations.
How can I get free donuts at Krispy Kreme?
To celebrate Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary, the donut chain will give away 45,000 free Original Glazed Doughnuts from May 12 to May 18 during Hot Light hours (7–9 a.m. and 5–7 p.m., or whenever the Hot Light is on), with a limit of one per customer per day, in-store and at the drive-thru.
In honor of Pac-Man’s love of fruit, if fans help reach this “high score,” they will unlock the return of Krispy Kreme’s popular Strawberry Glazed Doughnut, which was last offered for a limited time in August 2023.
History of Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme’s history began in the 1930s. According to legend, Vernon Rudolph, the founder of this famous doughnut brand, won the secret recipe for making yeast doughnuts in a poker game against a French chef in New Orleans.
He then rented a space in Old Salem, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he started selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts wholesale to supermarkets. However, the irresistible aroma of freshly baked doughnuts began to fill the streets, attracting passersby who eagerly asked if they could buy hot and fresh doughnuts.

Vernon seized the opportunity and decided to open a small hole in the wall of his building to sell directly to customers. Although Vernon passed away in 1976, his beloved Krispy Kreme brand lives on today.
In 2001, the company opened its first international store in Canada, near Toronto, a huge success that fueled its global expansion. By 2012, the brand had 500 stores outside the United States, and today it has over 1,400 locations in more than 33 countries.
