History of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants
Checkers and Rally’s started as two independent fast-food chains. Rally’s opened its doors in 1985 in Louisville, Kentucky, founded by Jim Patterson, while Checkers was established in 1986 in Mobile, Alabama, by Jim Mattei. Though they grew separately, both shared a similar focus on offering flavorful food at affordableprices. In 1999, Checkers acquired Rally’s, marking the beginning of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc.—a merger that strengthened their presence in the U.S. market.

What is Checkers & Rally’s Rewards?
It’s the company’s loyalty program, where members earn points by placing orders online, through the app, or by scanning their rewards code at the register. Members earn 5 points for every $1 spent. Once 400 points are accumulated, members receive a $5 reward that is automatically added to their Rewards Wallet. The reward can be used on the next visit by simply signing in through the mobile app or providing a phone number at checkout.
There are two ways to join the rewards program:
- Download the mobile app and create an account
- Visit www.checkersandrallys.com/rewards and click “Sign Up”
To see how many points you’ve earned, just log in to your account through the app or check your account online at www.checkersandrallys.com/rewards. Once on the Rewards page, click “Log In” and enter your username and password. After logging in, you can check your account balance by selecting the “Account Balance” link. You can also view your history by selecting the “Transaction History” link.
