Reifen aus Holz & weitere ausgefallene Kunstwerke von Nøne Futbol Club

Räder aus Holz sind nichts wirklich Neues, im Gegenteil, die gibt es bereits deutlich länger als z.B. Vollgummireifen. Aber Reifen definieren sich dadurch, dass sie eigentlich nur die Oberfläche darstellen, auf denen Räder rollen. Also zum Beispiel bei Fahrrädern oder Autos der mit Luft gefüllte Gummimantel. Künstler Nøne Futbol Club führt Vergangenheit und Moderne in gewisser Weise zusammen, indem er augenscheinliche Gummireifenmantel aus Holz fertig. Das erhält dann nochmal eine weitere Ebene, wenn die hölzernen Reifen aufgetürmt und verbrannt werden, so dass sie wahrlich zu „Hot Wheels“ werden. Aber auch abseits dieses Beispieles eines skurillen Materialkontrastes hat Nøne Futbol Club einige ausgefallene Kunstwerke zu bieten.

In the heart of the department of the Meuse, in the east of France, on the initiative of six agricultural and forestry villages, Vent des Forêts invents a bold human and cultural project that privileges the encounters and work of contemporary visual artists with the local inhabitants and craftsmen.

Defined as an open-air contemporary art center, this association achieves a rare and extremely valuable alchemy in rural territory: a strong bond is established between the population, the 90 volunteers of the association, the host families and the Artists, which gives rise to memorable works and meetings at the annual residencies of the creation of new works and restoration of the oldest.

The project draws a new way of living rurality, whose values are naturally transmitted to the public who can walk the seven paths, from 1 to 5 hours of walk. On 5000 hectares of forest, along 45 km of marked and freely accessible trails, visitors go on an adventure, encountering works of art inscribed in the landscape – more than 100 visible to date – designed with artists listening to the forestry context and in direct relation with the actors of the territory.
