‘Nervous little girl’ – Drew McIntyre on one-time British teenage sensation plotting incredible WWE comeback

Paige could be set for a sensational return to WWE eight years after having to retire from the ring. The woman behind one of the most talked-about performers in the company’s modern history is certainly up for it. Paige was one of the top WWE performers of her generationWWE Few wrestling stars have lived a journey quite like of Saraya-Jade Bevis, known as Paige from her time in WWE, and now as purely Saraya in All Elite Wrestling. Born into a wrestling family, she shocked the world in 2014 by being crowd Divas Champion on her main roster debut, multiple title reigns in WWE and AEW then followed as she established herself as a major player in the industry. She was forced to retire from active competition in 2017 owing to a serious neck injury, departing WWE in 2022 after undertaking non-wrestling authority and management roles. Throw into the mix the fact she wrestled some of the company’s biggest names, performed at the most prestigious events and even served controversial suspensions while with WWE, it stands to reason she may have unfinished business there. No matter what the Norwich-born grappler does or says, however, she can guarantee wrestling fans everywhere will be watching.
