Martin Brundle mocked after congratulating Conor Benn for Chris Eubank Jr loss
'Cringiest thing I have ever seen.'

Formula One icon Martin Brundle has been mocked across social media for congratulating Conor Benn on his boxing defeat to Chris Eubank Jr.
The British former racing driver and broadcaster interviewed Benn in the Miami Grand Prix paddock this weekend when the incident occurred.
Brundle regularly speaks to celebrities and sports stars at F1 races but appeared to have no idea Benn had actually lost his fight with Eubank Jr.
Benn suffered defeat to his bitter rival Eubank Jr by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month in a gruelling 12-round bout.
‘Wow, what a boxing match that was, congratulations,’ Brundle said to Benn at the Miami Grand Prix in an interview which has since gone viral online.
Benn awkwardly replied: ‘Thank you… I appreciate that. Although it was a great fight, I didn’t get the W (win) which I came for.
‘So hopefully we’ll run it back in September (for a rematch) and I can make amends.
