Haupt Racing Team’s new partnership with Ford will make its competitive debut at this weekend’s NLS opener as the squad fields a pair of Mustang GT3s at the four-hour ADAC Westfalenfahrt.
Entered under the HRT Ford Performance banner, the two cars will be decked out in inverted blue and yellow liveries, reflecting backing from lubricants company Ravenol.
The No. 2 car will be spearheaded by Ford Performance factory drivers Dennis Olsen and Arjun Maini, joined by Nordschleife veteran and reigning Nürburgring 24 winner Frank Stippler and Nico Bastian.
Dirk Mueller, meanwhile will share the No. 6 machine with fellow factory drivers Jusuf Owega and David Schumacher, while HRT regular Dennis Fetzer completes the lineup.
The NLS opener is set to be a stepping stone for the team’s entry into the N24 in June.
“The whole team is really looking forward to our first race weekend with the Ford Mustang GT3,” said team CEO Ulrich Fritz.
“We couldn’t have chosen a better location than our home track for the debut. The priority will be to gather data and experience in order to optimally prepare for the 24-hour race in June.”
