Sino-Singapore (Hainan) Airport Commercial Management Co launches Haikou shopping campaign
The promotional campaign at Haikou Meilan International Airport aims to drive shopping among delegates attending the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025, held in Bo’ao, Hainan province from 25 to 28 March.

CHINA. Sino-Singapore (Hainan) Airport Commercial Management Co has rolled out a promotional campaign at Haikou Meilan International Airport to drive spending among delegates attending Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025, taking place in Bo’ao, Hainan province (25-28 March).
Formally launched in January, the company is a joint venture between Haikou Meilan International Airport (HNA Holdings) and Changi Airports International. It holds exclusive rights to manage retail, food & beverage, advertising, leisure and commercially important-person services at the Hainan capital’s gateway for ten years.
The campaign includes a range of exclusive shopping offers and experiences for Boao Forum attendees, including a -15% discount on regular-priced items for delegates who present conference credentials at participating retail stores.
cdf Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free is currently running its annual watch exhibition, offering discounts that can be combined with local government shopping vouchers. Passengers who check in at least three hours before their flights can also receive additional coupons.
In addition, the promotions include up to -22% off selected local souvenirs, with some retailers, such as Hainan Gift and Time Bred, offering buy one, get one free deals on local products. These include pandan-flavoured goods, dried tropical fruit snacks and Hainan-themed souvenirs, such as a special-edition Jellycat plushies collection.
Local cuisine options are available from CNY9.90 (US$1.35), featuring dishes such as Hainanese chicken rice, qingbuliang (coconut dessert) and zaobacu (fermented fish hotpot).
A special cultural market will operate in Terminal 2 on 27 March, showcasing traditional performances, handicraft demonstrations and product sampling from regional brands.
Travellers can enjoy sampling and discounts from local brands, including Hainan Gift and Hainan Souvenir.
Enhanced travel services include VIP lounge offerings with Hainan delicacies and local product shopping, along with transit deals such as day rooms from CNY208 (US$29) for a five-hour stay.
The campaign represents part of the airport’s strategy to combine retail, tourism and international services, integrating Changi’s experiential retail model to elevate Haikou Meilan Airport into a world-class aviation commercial hub.
