'Thunderbolts*' Proves the MCU Doesn’t Know What To Do With Bucky Barnes Anymore
At this point, the Marvel Cinematic Universe just doesn't quite know what to do with Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes.
While no one should be running around decreeing that the MCU is "back," Thunderbolts*is certainly a bright spot that stands head and shoulders above the other films that the MCU has recently released. The action feels real, and the character arcs were thoroughly entertaining. However, one character felt far more stale than one would have expected; Bucky (Sebastian Stan). Before the Stan stans come after me, let me just say that, without a doubt, Sebastian Stanis one of the best actors working in the MCU today. Therefore, you'd think that Marvel could never run out of ways to explore the character. However, Thunderbolts* made it clear that, although we still love him, Marvel has lost direction for Bucky.
