The best players in the women’s college basketball transfer portal, ranked and updated
Grace Smith/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Wisconsin’s Serah Williams, Auburn’s Taliah Scott and Wofford’s Rachael Rose are among the best players in the 2025 transfer portal. The transfer portal for women’s college basketball officially opened on March 25, essentially starting the sport’s free agency season. Last offseason, several teams picked up key players in the portal that helped their teams advance to the Sweet 16 of this year’s NCAA Tournament. Notable moves included Hailey Van Lith going from LSU to TCU, Kiki Iriafen joining USC from Stanford, Oklahoma picking up Raegan Beers from Oregon State, Liatu King leaving Pitt for Notre Dame, and UConn landing Kaitlyn Chen from Princeton. The moves made during this offseason could impact the teams we see make deep runs in next year’s March Madness tournament. Three of the last five Most Outstanding Players at the Final Four transferred at least once in their careers. As players enter the portal, we’ll update this list where we rank the best ones looking for a change of scenery. 1.
