Stephen Colbert Brought Back This Classic 'Saturday Night Live' Character Just in Time for the Papal Conclave
Classic SNL character Father Guido Sarducci returned to comment on the papal conclave on Late Night with Stephen Colbert.
With the papal conclave meeting last week, Stephen Colbert brought in an expert on the subject who also happens to be a classic Saturday Night Live character. Father Guido Sarducci (Don Novello) graced the Ed Sullivan Theater on The Late Show last week, delivering his traditionally offbeat predictions, none of which actually came to pass. Colbert is a famously devout Catholic, but he clearly doesn't have any problem poking a little fun at the church.
