After a moment of awkward silence, CBS Mornings’ Tony Dokoupil then turned to the subject of the coach’s high-profile relationship with 24-year-old Hudson, who was described as a ‘constant presence’ during the conversation. “Everybody in the world seems to be following this relationship, they’ve got an opinion on your private life. It’s got nothing to do with them, but they’re invested in it. How do you deal with that?” Dokoupil asked. Belichick, who is preparing for his first season in college football as head coach of UNC under a $10million contract, responded: “I’ve never been too worried about what anybody else thinks. “Just try to do what I feel like is best for me, and what’s right.” The journalist followed up by asking how the couple met but Hudson, who was sitting off-camera, quickly interjected. “We’re not talking about this,” she said, as Dokoupil turned to her and asked, “No?” The camera then focused on the 24-year-old who doubled down, making for a visibly awkward moment between the interviewer, interviewee and Hudson herself.
