Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band announce new LP ‘New Threats from the Soul,’ share title track
The album features Will Oldham (aka Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy), Lou Turner, Myriam Gendron, and Catherine Irwin (of Freakwater), the last of whom is on this new song.
Fresh off touring and collaborating on stage with MJ Lenderman, Louisville slacker alt-country artist Ryan Davis and his Roadhouse Band have announced their sophomore album, New Threats from the Soul, due July 25 via Sophomore Lounge / Tough Love (pre-order). They’ve got harmony vocals on the album from Catherine Irwin (of Freakwater), Will Oldham (aka Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy), Lou Turner, and Myriam Gendron, and the first single is the title track, which features Catherine Irwin. The nine-and-a-half minute song takes you on a breezy, dusty journey that feels a lot shorter than it actually is. Check it out below.
