The great PSN outage of 2025 may not have been the worst the PlayStation platform had seen, but it was a detriment to players hoping to begin their weekend with online gaming. It seems Sony is trying to compensate players in a variety of ways. Along with the five free days for current PS Plus members, Sony is serving a free PlayStation Plus weekend to those not currently a member of the online subscription service.

When is the latest free PS Plus multiplayer weekend?

Sony is hosting a free PS Plus online multiplayer weekend starting today. Between February 13 and 15, players who are not currently subscribed to PlayStation’s online subscription service can enjoy some multiplayer gaming hours at no additional cost. Although the post is advertising EA Sports FC 25, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and EA Sports College Football 25, players can enjoy any online mode from the games in their library.

Although it isn’t explicitly stated, this seems to be a make-good for non-PS Plus members who experienced issues during the recent PSN outage. While it was confirmed PS Plus members would get a five-day extension to their subscription, nothing was offered to players not subscribed to the service.

Any PlayStation players that decide to subscribe to PS Plus after the free weekend, it may be a good time to enter the Extra or Premium tier of the service. On February 18, Don’t Nod’s first part of its next game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, will launch via the Game Catalog, a perk exclusive to Extra and Premium subscribers. The Classics Catalog, which is accessible only with a Premium subscription, added the PSP classic Patapon 3 to its repertoire.
