Robert Noaker claimed pole position for the first race of the Mustang Challenge season at Sebring International Raceway after also leading both practice sessions earlier in the day in his No. 13 Mustang Dark Horse R.

The Robert Noaker Racing team owner/driver outpaced Devin Anderson by 0.333 seconds, despite the TechSport driver setting the fastest overall first and second sector times on his best flying lap.

While Noaker led both practice sessions by a significant margin, qualifying was much tighter, with the field of 21 cars running much closer together in the 15-minute qualifying session than they were earlier in the day.

Marcos Vento will start Race 1 from the front of the second row, having set the third-best time in qualifying in his No. 18 McCumbee McAleer Racing Mustang.

Zachry Lee claimed the Dark Horse Legends class pole for MMR, with his 2:15.491 second lap placing him fourth quickest overall.

Rounding out the overall top-five and second-fastest in DHL was Spark Performance’s Alex Bachoura, just 0.006 seconds behind Lee’s time.

In an effort to improve on his time, Lee found the runoff at Turn 7, but continued without incident in a qualifying session that ran entirely green.

Race 1 goes green at 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, with live coverage available on IMSA.tv and Peacock.
