The minimalistic sampling bar encourages passersby to relax pre-flight with a Cloudy Bay expression

NEW ZEALAND. Moët Hennessy Travel Retail is marking the 40th anniversary of New Zealand winery Cloudy Bay with a sensory activation at Auckland Airport, in partnership with Lagardère AWPL.

Running until 29 April, the space highlights Cloudy Bay’s winemaking legacy with tastings of key expressions including the 40th vintage Sauvignon Blanc which features notes of makrut lime, hibiscus and pink grapefruit, finished with the brand’s signature saline edge.

Travellers can also sample the Founders’ Cellar Central Otago Pinot Noir 2020, available exclusively at the airport since December. The wine features aromas of boysenberry, violets and anaerobic-fermented coffee beans, with a palate of damson plum and hedgerow fruit.

A digital display behind the pop-up bar highlights the natural landscapes of Marlborough and Central Otago, offering passengers a sense of place and an introduction to the brand in its home region.

Moët Hennessy Travel Retail noted: “By offering exclusive products and a sensory experience rooted in the landscapes that inspire Cloudy Bay, the campaign reinforces our commitment to delivering premium, place-driven storytelling for discerning travellers.” ✈
