It is Wednesday, which means it once again time for the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia. The ministry of finance has announced the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of May 8 to 14, 2025.
Some relief for regular users of RON 97 petrol, as the premium fuel grade is cheaper by 8 sen per litre compared to last week, to be priced at RM3.10 per litre. Meanwhile, RON 95 petrol remains at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre, as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.
Diesel fuel users also get a bit of relief on their fuel expenditure this week, as the Euro 5 B10 and B20 grades also see an eight sen per litre drop, and are thus priced at RM2.80 per litre. The Euro 5 B7 grade – priced at 20 sen more per litre – follows suit, to be priced at RM3.00 per litre. The retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, May 14, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 19th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 330th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.
