Lucy Dacus is on her North American tour supporting her new album Forever is a Feeling now, and on Monday night she stopped in Morrison, CO for a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. She played Home Video‘s “Triple Dog Dare” by request and had jasmine.4.t (who opened the show, along with Katie Gavin of MUNA) join her on her Hozier collaboration “Bullseye.” During the encore, she played “Bus Back to Richmond,” an unreleased song she’s been performing periodically over the past few years, which she asked attendees not to record. Lucy has just a couple dates left on this leg of her tour, but she heads to Europe and the UK in June, and returns to North American in July for shows with Jay Som, Julia Jacklin, and Slow Pulp each joining her, varying by date. See all dates below.
Lucy also discussed boygenius‘ huge year 2023 in a recent interview on CBC’s Q with Tom Power. “Occasionally I’ll see something and I’m like, ‘Why are our tits out? We’re making out, this is crazy — is she straddling me? This is really wild,'” Dacus said of looking back on their tour. “That was just par for the course; that was just the atmosphere. Like, imagine a phase of your life where you were just going to parties and making out with your friends a bunch.”
“We were all in love,” she added. “That song is real. And we were comfortable and trusting each other, and we were having fun. I like that we were able to show people that.” Watch the interview below.
jasmine.4.t, meanwhile, also announced a new run of full band North American tour dates, including NYC’s Baby’s All Right on October 2. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 16 at 10 AM local time, and you can see all dates below.
