Live’s Ed Kowalczyk, Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz and Torture of Torture and the Desert Spiders are the latest guests on the SPIN Presents Lipps Service podcast, during which they join host Scott Lipps to preview the first live extension of the program on June 4 at New York’s Bitter End. Beyond the aforementioned three artists, the event will also feature performances by the Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser and up-and-coming New York artists Jackson Hamm of Telescreens and Thesaurus Rex.

On the new episode, Kowalczyk reminisces about his early days playing music in New York, while Hutz, accompanied by his friend/artist Grace Bergere, reflect back on their own formative times in the Big Apple and the city’s best punk bands. Torture also reveals how David Bowie helped choose their band name.
