“It Never Got Traction, and Then It Became a Distraction”: One Star Wars Legacy Character Almost Ended Up in ‘Andor’ Season 2
Andor had some beloved characters play major roles in the series, but one legacy character from the original Star Wars trilogy almost made the cut.
Now that Season 2 has concluded, Andorhad a unique ability to bring us a special Star Wars story that brings in legacy characters, original ones, and more. And fans almost saw a beloved character in Season 2 of the Disney+ series. Creator Tony Gilroy was speaking with Screen Rant when he revealed that Princess Leia, who was an important part of the Rebellion at the time Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) was fighting of the resistance movement, was almost part of Season 2. She's even featured at the end of Rogue Onewhen she says that Cassian and Jyn Erso's (Felicity Jones) sacrifice gave the Rebellion "hope."
