Former Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg wins 2025 Best Original Score Oscar for ‘The Brutalist’
It was Blumberg’s first win and nomination
Daniel Blumberg, who spent the late-’00s in indie bands Cajun Dance Party and Yuck, has won Best Original Score at the 2025 Academy Awards for his memorable work on Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist. As far as we know, Blumberg is the first Oscar winner to have also played Glasslands, though we wouldn’t be surprised if Mica Levi makes it into that category soon. Congrats, Daniel!
