Who was Silvia Galván?
Silvia Galván was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León. She began her career at a very young age, and her passion for beauty led her to open her first salon in 1985 under the name Silvia Galván Image Studio, which quickly became a symbol of style and professionalism.
Thanks to her charisma and dedication, Silvia attracted some of the most famous celebrities, such as Lucero, Verónica Castro, Belinda, Itatí Cantoral, Victoria Ruffo, Belinda, and Consuelo Duval, among many others. In addition to her work in beauty salons, Silvia Galván was also a recurring media figure. What did Silvia Galván die of? Cause of death
In early March 2025, Silvia Galván was rushed to the hospital due to severe abdominal pain. She underwent surgery that revealed a devastating diagnosis: stage four stomach cancer. At the time, her family issued a statement explaining her medical condition:
“She had a medical emergency that required delicate surgery, during which cancer was discovered. At this moment, she is in recovery,” the statement read at the time.
However, the disease progressed rapidly and aggressively. Just a few days later, the stylist was declared terminally ill and eventually passed away on April 16, 2025. Her death was confirmed by national media and the National Association of Performers.
News of her passing sparked an overwhelming wave of grief among colleagues, artists, models, and fans who saw Silvia not only as a styling professional but also as a mentor and friend.
