Universal’s groundbreaking new theme park, Universal Epic Universe, opens in less than a month. With five lands inspired by popular movie and game franchises like Universal Classic Monsters, Nintendo, “Harry Potter” and more, theme park fans are clamoring to get through the gates when the park opens May 22.

We have good news if you’ve been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to drive in a life-size Mario Kart race in Super Nintendo World or to travel to the British Ministry of Magic in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic via Metro-Floo.
In addition to previously announced one-day tickets and vacation packages for dates after the park’s official opening date, you can now buy tickets for public guest previews before the park opens.
Epic Universe preview tickets
Initially, Universal only opened Epic Universe preview tickets to annual pass holders and Universal hotel guests. While these tickets are still available, all guests can now visit Epic Universe during this preview period.

At the time of writing, tickets are available for dates beginning April 30 and ending May 19, though many weekend days are already sold out. Pricing starts at $144 per day for adults and $139 for kids ages 3 to 9.
These public previews allow Universal to test the attractions and operating procedures for the new park. In the announcement, Universal shared that this will be the last chance for guests to experience Epic Universe before it opens May 22.
You can purchase tickets and see full details on the Universal Orlando website.

Epic Universe hotel reservations

All three new hotels near Epic Universe are also open and accepting reservations.
Guests staying at these or any official Universal Orlando hotel will enjoy perks such as early entry to Universal’s theme parks (including Epic Universe during the preview period and after the park’s official opening), complimentary transportation, resortwide charging privileges and complimentary merchandise delivery.
Universal Stella Nova Resort opened in January, and its sister property, Universal Terra Luna Resort, followed in March. Both are adjacent to Epic Universe and fall into Universal’s Prime Value lodging category. Prices start at $147 per night (for stays of four nights or longer).
The park’s flagship hotel, Universal Helios Grand Hotel, opened April 16. This high-end hotel is already being called “the crown jewel of Epic Universe and the pinnacle of Universal Orlando’s hotel experiences” because of its mythology-inspired celestial theme and its unique location inside Epic Universe.
Helios Grand has a dedicated entrance to Epic Universe exclusively for its guests. Stella Nova and Terra Luna guests can use bus transportation or take a convenient walking path to Epic Universe.
We are less than one month away from stepping into what is poised to be our generation’s most impressive theme park — one that will transform the theme park experience and influence future lands and parks at Universal and beyond.
As a frequent theme park visitor, I may be biased, but I think this is one park everyone must see at least once. If you agree, snag your ticket now. I wouldn’t be surprised to see early June availability disappear quickly.
Stay tuned for additional details on Epic Universe lands, attractions, hotels and more as the May 22 opening date approaches.
