Disney+ unveils teaser for new K-drama ‘Nine Puzzles’, starring Kim Da-mi and Son Seok-koo

Disney+ has dropped a teaser for its new crime thriller K-drama series titled Nine Puzzles, set to star Itaewon Class’ Kim Da-mi and Big Bet’s Son Seok-koo. Here’s everything you need to know about the new series.

What is the plot of Nine Puzzles?

Nine Puzzles follows Yoon E-na, a high school student who discovers the body of her murdered uncle, and laying next to him is a single puzzle piece. She quickly becomes a prime suspect after she’s unable to answer any of the authorities’ questions, including how she got to the crime scene.

A decade later, E-na, now a criminal profiler, once again finds herself caught in the middle of a connected series of murders, each victim linked to a puzzle piece like the one she found with her uncle’s dead body.

Who is in the cast of Heavenly Ever After?

Kim Da-mi has been cast as E-na, while Big Bet and D.P star Son Seok-koo is slated to play detective Kim Han-saem. Other actors announced as part of the cast include Moving’s Kim Sung-kyun, When Life Gives You Tangerines’ Hyun Bong-sik and more. Nine Puzzles is helmed by Narco Saints director Yoon Jong-bin and written by Navillera screenwriter Lee Eun-mi.

Is there a trailer for the new Netflix K-drama?

On April 22, the streamer released a minute-long teaser, providing the first glimpse into Nine Puzzles. It introduces E-na, who recalls the murder of her uncle and its aftermath. When killings with the same calling cards left behind by her uncle’s murderer begin to resurface, E-na, now a criminal profiler, is forced to reckon with her past.

When will the series premiere?

Nine Puzzles is due to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on May 21 with six episodes.
