Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson have joined the cast of Netflix’s new heist thriller feature “Here Comes The Flood”.
Daisy Edgar-Jones will also star in the film in what’s dubbed an unconventional heist movie about a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief who engage in a deadly game of cons and double crosses.
Further plot details are under wraps. Celebrated auteur Fernando Meirelles (“City of God,” “The Two Popes”) will direct the film from a script by Simon Kinberg (“Sherlock Holmes,” “Mr & Mrs. Smith”).
Kinberg and Meirelles are also producing the film alongside Audrey Chon. No word on potential production or release dates as yet.
Washington was most recently seen in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II” and will appear in Spike Lee’s upcoming Kurosawa remake “Highest 2 Lowest” this August.
Pattinson is coming off Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17” and has Lynne Ramsay’s “Die, My Love” about to premiere at Cannes. He’s currently shooting Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”.
