Dear Japan, It’s Time We Finally Talk About Your Ridiculously Long Anime Titles

It was the early ’90s when anime became popular in the West. Titles like Pokémon,Sailor Moon, andDragon Ball Ztook hold of the attention of children and adults alike, taking anime outside the borders of Japan and creating a global phenomenon. The short, unassuming names of these anime series started to become significantly longer and more descriptive, such as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World.
