Day 1150 : Clean Up
liner notes: Professional : Started the day off with an interviewing a person applying for a position. It's always interesting to hear about folks' experience with our documentation. Responded to a bunch of questions from the community channel. Continued work on some documentation. Personal : Finally got the calibration working on the large format printer. You know have no clue how happy and relieved I was when the print came out the way they should have and was able to save the settings and finish the initial set up. My brain was so fried that I just went through some tracks for the radio show, watched the last episode of "Daredevil: Born again" and went to sleep. So, before work, I started printing a sample model that came with the large format printer to make sure things still look good. It took 5 hours to print and came out really good. Just had to do a little clean up I also started drying the filament that I want to use on the printer. That took like 8 hours and I just loaded it into the printer and printing a section of the model I want to print on it. It's a part because the model is pretty large and I don't want to waste filament. Right now, I want to check if the hinge prints fine and that things fit. Also, there is a new UV printer that launched on Kickstarter today. I've learned about it a couple of weeks ago and put down a deposit to get a discount. I put in my order like a few minutes before it was supposed to be official launched and within like the 1st 30 minutes, they already collected like $3 million! Right now, they are over $10 million and it's only the first day! haha My plan for the night is to keep an eye on this printer (says it will take 6 hours just for the section of the model) and at the same time set up another large format printer so I can get it printing tomorrow. The vinyl is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I haven't heard anything about customs or anything so hopefully everything goes smoothly. Things are falling into place. Also, I ordered a bunch of stuff for the packaging I'm creating for the collaboration I've been working on. Just as I was about to post, the print messed up. I thought it was weird that it was printing over this barrier that it printed, but yeah, it kind of shifted things up so the print got knocked loose. I switched it to fast print mode and it knocked down the time from 6 hours to like a little less than 3 hours. We'll see how it turns out. Hoping that the hinge will still work. I'm out! Going to get something to eat and get back to setting up this other printer. Have a great night! peace piece Dwane / conshus https://dwane.io / https://HIPHOPandCODE.com
