Quit Faang before receiving bad performance review or milk it till the end?
Quit Faang before receiving bad performance review or milk it for salary till the end? I have 5 years experience at the same faang company. (Social media..) It could be me or just that its a challenging environment but i suspect my manager and another co worker are making moves against me. Repeatedly receiving negative feedback even though i am trying my best. Im also super burned out and depressed. Anyway, i am pretty sure i will receieve a “meets most” rating by this july. I have always receieved good performance review but im not sure why this particular time im getting squeezed. I am also super burned out. I considered switching teams however if i switxh, my performance review will still be from this current manager in june july. So i will receieve a bad rating and have to work on a new team which the new manager can use that against me to exploit me. Question: Should i just quit now before i receieve a bad rating? That way i can just act like i need more money, receieved an offer somewhere else, and considered “regrettable” attrition? Keep good relations, etc. This opens the door for me to rejoin the company 1 2 3 years later when the economy gets better or when I am fully recovered from burnout. Ideally i will quit right after May 15 when next stock tranche vests. Or is this hope of returning fake? Should i just milk the company for money and stock vests until im actually fired or laid off? I will be blacklisted and probably never be able to return to my company in the future. Thanks all
