The midfielder was filmed entering a cafe and ordering the dish before tucking in while wearing the new shirt. The promo also featured Madness singer and Chelsea fan Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson. The British singer-songwriter stars as a taxi driver who gives a lift to the club’s women’s captain and Lionesses’ star Millie Bright. During his scene in the cab, he turns the radio over to play Madness’ iconic song Our House which serves as the music for the remainder of the video. Chelsea stars Reece and Lauren James also appear with the men’s captain having his haircut at a barbershop. One posted: “I just realised I love my club so much it’s insane.”

A second wrote: “That’s an instant cop.”

The new kit is made by Nike and is priced at £124.99 for the short-sleeve match shirt and £84.99 for the stadium version.

Its design is said to be inspired by London’s “standing for creativity, innovation and an ever-evolving cultural landscape”.

The shirt has also welcomed back the club’s traditional badge rather than the edited versions from the last couple of seasons.

The club also revealed that it would have a black goalkeeper shirt in the video,

Meanwhile, Nike were forced to quickly delete a social media post on Thursday after it leaked the new shirt.
