There are four new Chery showrooms in East Malaysia, and the new outlets are in Sandakan, Tawau, Miri and Kota Kinabalu’s Imago Mall.
“Chery is slowly expanding its presence here in Borneo and we hope to cover more locations across both the states. We are eager grow our network further across Malaysia, providing more Malaysians with the opportunity to own Chery’s range of vehicles,” said Michael Chew, VP of Chery Malaysia.
“With the new outlets in Sabah and Sarawak, we are confident that our Chery customers in the region will continue to receive the best in sales, service, and aftersales support,” he added.
Chery Sandakan is a 1S outlet operated by Universal Chery. Situated at Taman Wemin, Batu 5, Jalan Labuk, the showroom opens daily. Also operated by Universal Chery, Chery Tawau is a 3S outlet in Taman Berkeley, Batu 1, Jalan Apas. The service centre here has four bays. The showroom is open daily but the service centre takes a break on Sundays and public holidays.
Chery Miri is a 3S outlet is operated by MP Advanced Automotive. Situated at Lambir Land District, Jalan Miri Bypass, the service centre has four bays and is open from Monday to Saturday, while the showroom is open daily.
Finally, Chery Imago Mall Kota Kinabalu, which is situated on the ground floor of KK’s Imago Mall. Operated by Universal Chery, this ’boutique showroom’ follows mall hours.
“We understand that modern families today, often spend their weekends shopping, enjoying leisure activities, and spending quality time together. By bringing our showroom to Imago Mall, we’re making it easy for you to explore our cars while enjoying everything the mall has to offer,” Chew said.
With these four new openings, Chery now has four showrooms and two service centres in Sabah, while there are two showrooms and two service centres in Sarawak. Both Borneo states have a body and paint outlet each. Overall, the Wuhu-based export-oriented brand has a total of 56 showrooms in Malaysia and is targeting 65 by the end of 2025.
