A runner-up finish and first victory of the season for Jaxon Bell last time out has put the second-generation racer into the Toyota GR Cup North America points lead entering this weekend’s pair of races the Sebring International Raceway.

The Copeland Motorsports driver edged ahead of Westin Workman and Lucas Weisenberg in the drivers’ championship ahead of Rounds 5 and 6 of the season at the Florida airfield circuit.

Bell holds a narrow two-point lead over BSI Racing’s Workman, with Lucas Racing’s Weisenberg a further five points behind.

A total of 22 Toyota GR86 Cup cars are entered for the weekend, marking a decrease from Circuit of The Americas, with Eagles Canyon Racing Powered by Fast Track nor Skip Barber Racing entered, along with only one Precision Racing LA Toyota compared to the three that were on hand in Texas that included Rutledge Wood.

GR Cup track action begins with two test sessions on Thursday, followed by practice on Friday, qualifying and the pair of 45-minute races scheduled for Saturday at 1:40 p.m. EST and Sunday at 10:05 a.m. EST.

Both races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch, as well as on grcup.com.
