2025 BMW 330Li updated in Malaysia – adaptive cruise control, 360 cam, Harman Kardon audio, RM320,800

Hello! We’re reporting live at Malaysia Autoshow 2025, where the latest BMW 330Li M Sport is making its local debut. But wait a minute, you may be asking – isn’t this the same second Life Cycle Impulse (LCI II) facelift for the G20 3 Series that was just introduced in January? Well, yes, but the long-wheelbase model has been given some choice equipment upgrades in time for the show.

But first, the price, which is RM320,800 on-the-road without insurance; by comparison, the previous model retailed at RM314,800, including a RM6,000 hike over the previous model. This is with the standard two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty; opt for the optional five-year warranty and service package (further extended by one year until May 31, giving you six years in total) and this figure rises to RM347,200.

Onwards to the changes, which are few but significant. The most important of these by far is the inclusion of adaptive cruise control with stop and go to the list of driver assists, although full Level 2 semi-autonomous driving functionality with lane centring assist unfortunately remains out of reach for Malaysian buyers. This feature joins the usual autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, traffic sign recognition and auto high beam.

Also crucial to most Malaysians is the addition of a 360-degree camera system (with a remote 3D view through the My BMW smartphone app) as part of the Parking Assistant Plus, replacing the reverse camera. As per what was offered previously, the package includes park assist for parallel and perpendicular spaces and a reversing assistant.

Meanwhile, aural quality has been boosted through a 16-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon sound system; the previous model had a ten-speaker, 205-watt HiFi setup. The tech package remains the same, with a BMW Live Cockpit Professional package throwing on a curved widescreen display panel with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, as well as a head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also offered, of course, as is a Qi wireless charger.

Elsewhere in the cabin, the 330Li continues to get an M flat-bottomed steering wheel and power-adjustable front sports seats with driver’s side memory, along with Vernasca leather upholstery and a Sensatec faux leather-wrapped dashboard. Matte dark graphite decor and galvanic silver switchgear still feature, but there are also now CraftedClarity crystal iDrive and volume knobs, engine start button and gear selector.

Otherwise, standard kit remains mostly identical to before and includes an M Sport bodykit, 18-inch double-spoke Style 848 M alloy wheels, keyless entry, triple-zone climate control, a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting and auto-dimming mirrors. The 330Li M Sport is available in either Carbon Black, M Brooklyn Grey or Arctic Race Blue paint, paired with a Mocha or Cognac interior.
