Atlanta takes 1-0 lead in TGL Finals after dramatic win

Atlanta is one win away from a historic TGL title.

The trio of Justin Thomas, Billy Horschel and Patrick Cantlay grabbed a dramatic victory in the first match of the best-of-three final, 6-5 over New York. Atlanta grabbed the winning point on the final hole when Xander Schauffele missed a final putt that would have forced overtime.

Atlanta will have a chance to claim the TGL title and $9 million prize purse with a win in the second match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet. If New York pulls even in the final, a winner-take-all Match 3 will take place immediately after the second one.
