The Leapmotor C10 will receive a power bump for the 2025 model year in China, according to CarNewsChina citing a filing with the country’s ministry of industry and information technology (MIIT).
Thanks to a new rear electric motor, the updated electric SUV is now rated at 299 PS (295 hp or 220 kW). By comparison, the previous model in China packs 231 PS (228 hp or 170 kW), which means the increase is by 68 PS (67 hp or 50 kW). It should be noted that the C10 launched in Malaysia last October has a slightly lower output of 218 PS (215 hp or 160 kW).
Aside from the more powerful electric motor, the rest of the C10 looks to be unchanged from before. No details on pricing for now, but the pre-update C10 in China is currently listed for between 128,800 and 168,800 yuan (about RM79k and RM103k) for the pure electric version, while the range-extended model ranges from 135,800 to 165,800 yuan (RM83k to RM101k).
