We break down what time your favorite NFL team should be making their first round pick on Thursday. The 2025 NFL Draft gets underway on Thursday, April 24 when the Tennessee Titans go on the clock. They have held the No. 1 pick since the season ended, but the ten-minute clock will officially begin just after 8 p.m. ET on Thursday evening. Once the draft starts, each team has a maximum of ten minutes to make their pick in the first round. The time drops to seven minutes in the second round, five minutes in the third through sixth rounds, and four minutes in the seventh and final round. If a team does not pick in its allotted time, it can still make a selection, but the next time will be able to make their pick at any point. The Titans are expected to select Miami (FL) quarterback Cam Ward, but that doesn’t mean we’ll get a quick first pick. They could make the pick quickly or they could sit on it to wait for any last minute Godfather offers. There are still NFL Draft odds for who they’ll take first that are not Ward, but expect it to be Ward. Roger Goodell will open the draft shortly after 8 p.m. ET when he welcomes fans to Green Bay. That suggests the Titans pick will probably come in sometime between 8:02 and 8:12 p.m. ET. From there, we’ll be off to the races. Virtually no team makes their first round pick as soon as they’re on the clock. Trade talks will keep everybody busy, and most will take at least five minutes if not closer to the full ten minutes. With all that in mind, we’ve decided to try and estimate when we can expect each pick to happen on Thursday at the 2025 NFL Draft. We’ve listed the given teams, but some of these will change as trades happen throughout Thursday evening. We’ll update this article as official pick times come in and we have a better handle on when things might happen later in the evening. It is highly unlikely the first round runs past midnight. All times listed are ET. Tennessee Titans - 8:04 p.m. Cleveland Browns - 8:13 New York Giants - 8:21 New England Patriots - 8:29 Jacksonville Jaguars - 8:36 Las Vegas Raiders - 8:42 New York Jets - 8:49 Carolina Panthers - 8:57 New Orleans Saints - 9:05 Chicago Bears - 9:13 San Francisco 49ers - 9:22 Dallas Cowboys - 9:32 Miami Dolphins - 9:41 Indianapolis Colts - 9:49 Atlanta Falcons - 9:57 Arizona Cardinals - 10:04 Cincinnati Bengals - 10:11 Seattle Seahawks - 10:19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 10:27 Denver Broncos - 10:36 Pittsburgh Steelers - 10:44 Los Angeles Chargers - 10:51 Green Bay Packers - 10:57 Minnesota Vikings - 11:05 Houston Texans - 11:12 Los Angeles Rams - 11:20 Baltimore Ravens - 11:27 Detroit Lions - 11:35 Washington Commanders - 11:42 Buffalo Bills - 11:49 Kansas City Chiefs - 11:57 Philadelphia Eagles - 12:05
