Trainer Karl Burke often does well at the start of the season and at Chester specifically where his horses can often be seen to great effect at this festival. That’s Amore That’s Amore was an impressive winner back in October on debut and on what was her debut run. That was on heavy ground so could be interesting upped in trip by nearly 4 furlongs here. Minnie Hauk cost 1.8m euros as a yearling and that price tag surely needs to be justified from the start heading into the new season. The Frankel filly won back in October too at Leopardstown and appeals a lot simply for the combination of Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien. Queen Of Thieves is also a Frankel filly, but notably a full sister to Cracksman. She didn’t start off well but did surge clear when 5/6 favourite at Yarmouth in a maiden fillies contest, but may need more against these two mentioned prior. That’s Amore appeals more based on her debut and comes back for just her second run after nearly 200 days off. Excello Light N Strike and Yes Indeed do appeal but not over this distance for me, they’re certainly not screaming out for further. That leaves Bourbali and Excello, with the latter disappointing a little last time out when 14th of 30 but has the excuses given it was a tough Grade 3 at Aintree. He’s down to a dangerous mark again and should go well over this distance given his prior form.
