Tomas Rosicky responds to speculation he has an offer to rejoin Arsenal

The Gunners are still reeling from Edu’s shock departure back in November but are hoping to appoint his replacement as early as next month. Real Sociedad’s Roberto Olabe is considered to be the frontrunner but the likes of Dan Ashworth, who recently left Manchester United after a short stint, and Andrea Berta are also said to be in the frame. Jason Ayto has been holding fort on an interim basis and although he has admirers within the club, he has come under fire for presiding over the bungled January transfer window which saw Arsenal fail to make a single signing. Rosicky, meanwhile, a former teammate of Mikel Arteta’s at Arsenal during their playing days, has impressed in a senior role at Sparta Prague but ‘The Little Mozart’ insists he is yet to have any contact with his former employers about a potential return. But they have the same agent, who also represents Mikel. ‘So at that time, we were in contact, we were sending some text messages, about how his agent takes pictures with me. ‘It’s not like we are best friends, I think we’re great colleagues and we had a great time together. ‘We’re always happy to see each other when there’s an opportunity.’

Tomas Rosicky has responded to speculation he has an offer to rejoin Arsenal as the club’s sporting director.

The Gunners are still reeling from Edu’s shock departure back in November but are hoping to appoint his replacement as early as next month.
