Tiger-Cats release QB Taulia Tagovailoa ahead of training camp

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have made some cuts ahead of training camp.

Hamilton released 12 players on Sunday, including quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa.

The brother of NFL quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appeared mainly as the Tiger-Cats’ third-string quarterback and was used primarily in short-yardage situations.

The 25-year-old appeared in eight games, completing one pass for six yards and had three carries for 10 yards and a touchdown.
