The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled to the brim with threats that have been universe-ending at times. This means that the Earth's mightiest heroes have to be pretty dang powerful to put a stop to said evil deeds. The cinematic world's villainy is filled with gods, monsters, sorcerers, and more—the same applies to the heroes. Most of the time, the heroes have to be stronger, either physically or intellectually (because not all strength comes from muscles, either).
