Prime Video Shares First Look at Nicolas Cage in ‘Spider-Noir’ Series

Nicolas Cage will be reprising his role from the animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in Prime Video’s upcoming live action series “Spider-Noir,” and the streamer has revealed a first look at the series tonight (above). It’s set to premiere sometime in 2026.

Prime Video notes in an official tweet tonight that “Spider-Noir” starring Nicolas Cage will be streaming next year in both black & white and color, which promises two very different vibes.

“Spider-Noir” will tell the story “of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in ’30s NY, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.”

Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot are the showrunners and executive producers.

“Expanding the Marvel universe with Spider-Noir is a uniquely special opportunity and we are honored to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television for Amazon MGM Studios. “The extremely talented Nicolas Cage is an ideal choice for our new superhero and the accomplished producing team with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and the incredible team at Sony is dedicated to expanding this franchise in the most authentic way.”

The Spider-Man Noir character is an alternate version of Spider-Man that was introduced back in February 2009. The character has to date never appeared in the world of live action.
