Nissan Raya deals with 0% instalment plan or up to RM30,950 of savings – Kicks e-Power SUV included

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just around the corner now, and car brands are actively dishing out the promos. Here, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) is having the Nissan Raya Bersama Deals campaign offering an 0% instalment plan for up to 12 months, or savings of up to RM30,950. It runs till March 31 and includes the Nissan Kicks e-Power.

We kick off with ETCM’s latest model, the Kicks e-Power. Launched at KLIMS 2024, the Kicks is a unique entry in the crowded B-segment SUV space – it’s essentially an EV powered by a petrol engine under the hood. The e-motor is a front-mounted 129 PS/280 Nm unit while the ICE is a 82 PS/103 Nm 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated three-pot.

The HR12DE serves as a generator for the 2.06 kWh battery, and unlike Honda’s e:HEV hybrids, the engine has no mechanical connection to the wheels.

Fuel consumption is rated at 21.7 km/l, resulting in a claimed total range of up to 900 km with the 41 litre fuel tank. There’s a one-pedal e-Pedal Step mode and EV mode (where the ICE stays asleep) is possible up to 2.5 km at 40 km/h max. Two variants are available – the VL at RM113,800 and the VLT at RM121,800, on-the-road before insurance.

The Raya promo is dangling an introductory rebate of up to RM5,000 and accessories savings worth up to RM7,500. There’s also a 10-year or 160,000 km EV component warranty for peace of mind.

Elsewhere, selected Nissan models come with a ‘Drive Now, Pay Later’ 0% instalment plan for up to 12 months. Basically, it’s either this or a straight-up cash rebate. The massive headline figure of RM30,950 counts both this rebate and ‘accessory savings’, which is free accessories.
