New PS Plus RPG Has a Game-Breaking Bug You Can Avoid

PS Plus Extra April 2025‘s biggest new game comes with a major progression-blocker that players can easily avoid with a simple step. Hogwarts Legacy released two years ago, but the game still has some annoying bugs that developer Avalanche Software hasn’t fixed, and this happens to be one of them.

How to avoid the game-breaking bug in PS Plus headliner, Hogwarts Legacy

The bug, which happens early on in the game, occurs when players are tasked with learning Incendio from Professor Hecat. If you decide to abandon the main quest and go off track, you won’t be able to speak to the quest giver, Professor Fig, to complete the task.

The easiest solution is to avoid the bug altogether and fast travel back to Progressor Fig once you’ve learned Incendio, and stand in the designated circle to continue. You can always go off track later.

If you’ve already run into the bug, then roll back to a previous save and complete the quest as suggested above.

Those who don’t have any other save file and have run into the bug might just be out of luck. Players have suggested a wide range of random “workarounds” online, but none of them are guaranteed to work.
