With Oblivion remake all but confirmed, fans are wondering what the release date window for the previously leaked Fallout 3 remaster is. Unfortunately, it looks like we will be waiting for a while, if a comment by a reliable insider is anything to go by.
Fallout 3 remaster release date window was originally set for 2024
Fallout 3 remaster has never been officially confirmed, but documents leaked during Microsoft‘s high-profile legal battle with the Federal Trade Commission confirmed the game’s existence alongside the Oblivion remake.
Oblivion remake is pretty much real, and is expected soon. However, Fallout 3 remaster seems to have slipped significantly. According to leaker NateTheHate, who has a pretty solid record, it’ll be a while before we see Fallout 3 again.
This hasn’t stopped some fans from holding out hope, however. In the leaked documents mentioned above, Microsoft pegged Oblivion for a 2022 release and Fallout 3 remaster for a 2024 release. Fans are theorizing that if Microsoft still plans to release them both two years apart, then Fallout 3 should be out by 2027.
One can only hope…
“I’m excited for Oblivion, but would have preferred the Fallout 3 remake first,” wrote one fan on Reddit. Others agreed.
