Marriott Homes & Villas is running a very generous new promotion, offering 40,000 bonus points when staying two or more nights and spending $1,500 or more. There’s a slight catch to this promo though – you have to have some kind of elite status in the Marriott Bonvoy program in order to qualify.
The Deal
- Earn 40,000 bonus points when booking a 2+ night stay costing $1,500+ with Marriott Homes & Villas if you have Silver status or higher.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- A “stay” is defined as two (2) or more consecutive nights spent at the same property, regardless of check-in and check-out activity.
- This promotion is valid only for Marriott Bonvoy Members who hold Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium or Ambassador Elite status at time of booking.
- Registration of Marriott Bonvoy Elite Member’s Marriott Bonvoy account is required for this promotion. Elite Members must register by May 11, 2025. See REGISTER NOW Link on: https://homes-and-villas.marriott.com/en/offers/GLB40KMAY25
- Registered Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members earn 40,000 bonus points per qualifying paid stay at a participating home rental booked between May 5, 2025 (12:01 AM EST) – May 11, 2025 (11:59 PM EST) through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website (“HVMB Platform”) for stays completed on or before January 4, 2026.
- Stays of two (2) or more consecutive nights must be completed during the promotion earning period, beginning June 1, 2025, up to and including nights stayed on or before January 4, 2026.
- A minimum spend for the stay is $1500 (or foreign currency equivalent).
- Charges that do not qualify for Points include, but are not limited to, taxes, booking fees, cleaning fees, security deposits, and extra add-on services purchased and/or applied to home rentals booked through the HVMB Platform.
- Award redemption stays where Points are redeemed for a portion of, or the entire stay are not eligible for the promotion.
Quick Thoughts
Earning 40,000 bonus points is an incredibly rewarding offer and far exceeds any kind of bonus points that you’d be able to earn on stays at Marriott’s hotel brands.
There are three key requirements for this latest offer – you have to stay at least two consecutive nights, your stay has to cost at least $1,500 before taxes and fees and you need to have Silver status or higher in the Marriott Bonvoy program.
It’s not too hard to obtain Marriott status, even if you don’t stay with them frequently enough to earn it organically. All Marriott credit cards come with elite status in one form or another, whether that’s automatic status or sufficient elite night credits to get status by default. If you have an Amex Platinum or Amex Business Platinum card, one of its benefits is automatic Gold status with Marriott Bonvoy, so that’s another route.
Although this promo is valid on stays from June 1, 2025 through January 4, 2026, note that you have to book it by May 11.
Interestingly, I’m not seeing a limit on the number of times that you can earn the 40,000 bonus points. The terms state that ‘Registered Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members earn 40,000 bonus points per qualifying paid stay…’ The lack of any listed limit and the fact that wording states you’ll earn the bonus points per qualifying paid stay certainly makes it seem like you could earn a large chunk of bonus points on two or more eligible stays.
