In the wake of Osgood Perkins inking a first look deal with NEON, the indie production and distribution company has taken to social media this afternoon to kick off the marketing campaign for Keeper, which will be Perkins’ (Longlegs, The Monkey) third movie with NEON.
The mysterious film has been described as “a dark trip from Osgood Perkins,” and this first teaser certainly doesn’t provide us with any further information. Rather, it’s an endlessly looping video of a woman scribbling in a notebook, providing an oddly chilling bit of ASMR.
The title of the video? “It has no end.” Check it out below and expect more soon.
Written by Nick Lepard (Dangerous Animals), the horror movie Keeper from Osgood Perkins stars Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black”) and Rossif Sutherland (Possessor).
“Keeper follows a couple as they escape for a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin. When Malcolm (Sutherland) suddenly returns to the city, Liz (Maslany) finds herself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.”
Before his work with NEON, Perkins previously directed The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and the arthouse fairytale adaptation Gretel & Hansel.
