Isuzu Malaysia has announced the appointment of Tomoyuki Yamaguchi as the company’s new chief executive officer, and who has assumed the position effective April 24, 2025. Yamaguchi succeeds Shunsuke Okazoe who has returned to Japan to become vice president of the Japan sales division at Isuzu Motors Limited.
Yamaguchi joined Isuzu Motors in 1997, beginning his time at the company in the international operations department for markets including Russia and Ukraine, as well as various Southwest Asian markets before going to Isuzu Motors South Africa to grow the brand’s commercial vehicle business in that market.
“Isuzu Malaysia remains a model of excellence in the global perspective. The operations here have established a base of loyal customers who recognise the strengths and capabilities of Isuzu vehicles. This augurs well for the establishment of life-long customers of the brand,” Yamaguchi said in a statement.
“We need to continuously strive to make every customer experience a positive one. I hope to work with the team and our dealers to bring customer satisfaction to the next level,” he added. Yamaguchi aims to expand the scope of in-house services provided by Isuzu dealerships to ensure quality services for the brand’s customers, as well as to expedite parts availability through enhanced warehousing processes.
