For months, we’ve all been asking Jennifer Kaytin Robinson the same thing — what are you waiting for, huh?! We’ve been hungry for the I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer since the Do Revenge director was announced to be standing at the helm and this week, our hook-filled dreams came true. It was with pure glee that viewers watched as the decades-old franchise was brought back to bloody and gore-filled life with a new cast as well as legacy favorites Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. But, with the happiness, we also felt a pang of sorrow because, despite our manifesting, Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Helen Shivers remains dead. Like, incredibly dead. But, it wasn’t just those of us at home who were hoping, praying, and casting spells for the character’s return. During a chat with Entertainment Weekly, Robinson reveals she did everything in her power to bring the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star back to life, including harassment and off-the-rail suggestions.
