Gauff was the youngest player to reach back-to-back Rounds of 16 at the Miami Open since Garbine Muguruza in 2012-2013. The 2023 US Open champion also became the youngest player to secure 75 main draw wins in WTA-1000 events since the format’s introduction in 2009 after her victory on Saturday. Gauff has now bowed out of the tournament as she continues to try to get her season back on track.
