Game 7 status for Maple Leafs’ Knies remains uncertain
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube told reporters that he had not seen Matthew Knies on Saturday and didn’t not have an update on his status for Game 7.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will play Game 7 on Sunday, but whether they do so with Matthew Knies is still to be determined.

Knies appeared to be in discomfort throughout Friday’s game after an awkward collision he took with Panthers defenceman Niko Mikkola in the first period.
The 23-year-old never left the bench during play but ended up logging just 13:01 of ice time, well below his average of 20:11 this post-season.
“Just conversations with him. Situational,” said Berube when asked about managing Knies’ minutes, with the forward clearly not at his best.
“I played him in situational play more than anything down the stretch there. If he was good to go or he wasn’t good to go, it was more just me talking to him on the bench and understanding where he was at the time.”
