Laurent Boidevezi: Strategic vision, proven leadership and global expertise

USA/UAE. Falic Group, the owners of Duty Free Americas and blockchain-based wines & spirits global marketplace BlockBar, has appointed the much-respected former Moët Hennessy senior executive Laurent Boidevezi as Advisor to President Leon Falic.

Boidevezi will also lead Global Business Development across Falic Group’s international operations and will assume the role of BlockBar CEO.

Boidevezi brings with him over two decades of senior leadership experience at Moët Hennessy, part of the LVMH Group, which he left in January.

He most recently served concurrently as President of the Asia Pacific Domestic Region (since 2022), President of Global Travel Retail (since 2017) and President of Private Sales (since 2015).

In his new role, Boidevezi will be based in Dubai, UAE, described as a strategic hub for Falic Group’s expanding global footprint.

Falic Group President Leon Falic commented: “We are delighted to welcome Laurent to the Falic Group. His strategic vision, proven leadership, and global expertise will be instrumental as we continue to accelerate our international growth.”

Boidevezi added: “I am honoured to join Falic Group at such an exciting time. As a fast-growing global leader in its fields, Falic Group is poised for continued success and to achieve great ambitions.

“I look forward to working with our talented teams to enhance our brands’ desirability, elevate our luxury execution capabilities, strengthen partnerships, and deliver lasting value to our consumers, suppliers and employees worldwide.”

BlockBar’s roots stretch back decades. BlockBar was launched in October 2021 by cousins Dov and Sam, who are an active part of the family-owned Falic Group, a network founded in 2001.

It runs the duty-free concessions at major airports, including Miami, Atlanta, Washington, JFK Terminal 7 and New Terminal One (2026), as well as border locations along the US-Mexico and US-Canada crossings. Beyond North America, Duty Free Americas operates duty-free stores throughout Latin America and in Macau, China, and luxury retail boutiques in various international airports worldwide.

Since launching GW&S in 2002, the Group has significantly expanded its wine & spirits distribution footprint, with operations across key markets including Panama, Aruba, Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela, Colombia, Israel, Dubai and the broader Middle East. ✈
